...eight...

My last days in Zagreb before summer vacation... Summer is back again, it's warm and beautiful, the city is (almost completely) empty. Everyone went away and one could say there's nothing to do around. However, there's something special in empty Zagreb during summer nights. It's not as crowded as usual, everything's so quiet and beautiful, there's a feeling of privacy while you're walking around and nothing can bother you or interrupt you.
Zagreb, I love you so much, but... Seaside, here I come! My suitcase is packed and I'm leaving tomorrow morning (or better to say today as midnight has already past).

Dress: Zara, S/S 2012
Clutch: Accessorize, A/W 2010/11
Sandals: Bata, S/S 2008

I think it's about time to show you the photographer. This is Mladen, my long-term boyfriend and one of the most amazing people I've ever met. We've been together since early 2008. I just love the guy so much! He's funny, cute, talkative, sensitive, adorable, reasonable... Everything a girl could wish in a boyfriend.

Yesterday evening we went to IMAX and watched "The Dark Knight Rises", the third part of C. Nolan's Batman saga. I was quite surprised with the movie, it was great. Christian Bale did a great job, it seems he has finally got into the role of Batman in the real way, his acting was much better than in the first two movies. Joseph Gordon Levitt kicked ass as officer Blake - this guy is so talented and after all the dramatic roles he easily and perfecty fit into the action role. But the real surprise was Anne Hathaway. I didn't like her until I saw her in TDKR, she always seemed so boring and talentless. Guess I was wrong! The girl is really amazing in the role of Catwoman (or better to say Selina Kyle).

I won't be around for a couple of weeks. Two, three weeks, who knows? I plan to come back to Zagreb around August 20th, but maybe the vacation'll last longer.
I'm not sure whether I'll be able to use any internet connection on the seaside. We have T-mobile USB internet stick, but connection is so weak most of the time and I can't even open Google or my e-mail. So, let's see what happens...
If I won't be able to come around, I wish you great summer vacation. Enjoy, hope you'll have lots of fun!

...seven...

I'm so freakin' tired today... Even coffee overdose (6 or 7 cups of coffee since early morning) didn't help me. Cloudy and windy weather is still here and the sun just won't show up.
Damn. I'd rather go back to bed and oversleep the entire day.

Since the weather is so crappy these days, I didn't have much inspiration for my yesterday outfit.
As you can see, the wind was blowing pretty hard (and still is).

Blouse: H&M, A/W 2011/12
Jeans: Topshop (Jamie), A/W 2010/11
Clutch: Accessorize, A/W 2010/11
Flats: Tommy Hilfiger, S/S 2012
Necklace: La Rocka, S/S 2009

The only good thing that happened today is the reservation that my friend Iris has made for the Friday screening of Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises" in IMAX. Can't wait! It's the movie I've been expecting since 2008.
Hope there won't be any lunatics killing people like in Aurora, Colorado. Such a horrible, tragic event. :(

...six...

As I already mentioned in the previous post, my boyfriend and I went to the cinema yesterday to watch "Ted". The movie was absolutely great! It's a mixture of buddy-buddy comedy full of dirty and sexual humor with a slight touch of romance and typical children movie which in some parts reminds of "Home Alone" and "The Goonies". The thing I didn't like was the love story between Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis which got a bit too cheesy for my taste in some parts of the movie. Just to mention - I'm not a rom-com fan and I've never liked movies like "Pretty Woman", "Runaway Bride", "When Harry Met Sally" etc. Despite all its flaws "Ted" is a great movie to watch and to laugh all your guts out in some scenes because there are really hilarious jokes in it.

Since it was raining and got much colder here in Zagreb compared to Friday, I had to put on long sleeves and jeans.
I could say that this outfit is much more typical for me than the previous ones. There's nothing better than a pair of jeans, a T-shirt with print and chucks or a pair of comfortable flats in which one can walk for hours without getting blisters.

Jeans: Topshop (Jamie), A/W 2010/11
Blazer: Zara, S/S 2012
T-shirt: New Yorker (Amisu), S/S 2012
Bag: Accessorize, A/W 2010/11
Shoes: Accessorize, A/W 2011/12

After the movie we walked around a bit 'till it started raining and then we went to a bar called "Bacchus" situated in the center, very close to the main train station in Zagreb.
"Bacchus" has one of the most beautiful terraces in Zagreb surrounded by ivy-covered walls, but since it was quite chilly outside we decided to sit inside. The interior of the bar is amazing too - so cosy, full of antique objects and furniture. The atmosphere is really intimate and you feel like home, relaxed and always welcome. It's one of my favorite places in the city.

...five...

Damnit. It has just started to rain... After such a beautiful, warm Friday evening/night what was the first thing that I saw this morning when I woke up? Clouds. The sky was full of grey clouds, there was not even a trace of sunlight. It's also quite colder than yesterday. Well, nevermind, there's nothing we can do about it. I just hope it gets warmer here in Zagreb pretty soon.
Yesterday was a great day. A couple of days ago I discovered a great and really funny sitcom, "It's Always Sunny In Philadelhia". The first season was OK but nothing more than OK, but when Danny DeVito appeared as a member of the cast in the second season things got quite better, funnier and more spicy. You should definitively check it out!
In the afternoon I went to the university (I had to check some stuff dealing with my graduation thesis), had a cup of coffee with a friend of mine and then  in the eveningI met my boyfriend. we had such a great, large walk around Trešnjevka district.
Here's the outfit from yesterday:

Blouse: Zara TRF, S/S 2012
Shorts: Naf Naf, S/S 2011
Clutch: vintage (1970s)
Flats: Blink, S/S 2007

While walking around Trešnjevka we discovered an interesting, a bit abandoned and neglected backyard of the building with adorable little balls of fur. Ah, kittens. They're amazing! Wish I could have one...

This little Canon can sometimes make great photos in the dark and surprise me. I know it's not a DSLR, none of the small, compact cameras can't even be compared to DSLR cameras, but hey... Canon is one of the best ones in its class.

Gotta go now, I'm in a hurry... Tonight's the cinema evening, we're gonna watch "Ted" with Mark Wahlberg. From the trailer it seems like a great, dirty, rude comedy with alive teddy bear who swears, smokes pot, drinks, hits on girls. He's such a bad gu... errrm, teddy bear. So, let's see what's it all about!

First of all, I'd like to apologize to all of you who wanted to leave anonymous comments but weren't able to do it. My mistake. I'm a complete Blogger/Blogspot noob and didn't know that the anonymous comment option was actually turned off in my settings. Thanks to all of you guys who've contacted me today via private messages on forum.hr and told me about the problem. :)

The day was great - sunny, warm, beautiful. Meeting old friends, walking around the empty city center, enjoying the summer breeze. It's such a pity that summer is so short! I'll be off to the seaside in a week and a half or two and when I'll come back autumn will almost start. So, let's enjoy the summer  and make the most of it while it lasts!

..three...

Chucks - the most comfortable sneakers/footwear ever. <3
As you can see I'm obsessed with them and they take more than one third of my shoe closet. But hey, enough is enough. I promised myself that I won't buy any new ones until at least two of my pairs fall apart.

For all the Batman fans out there All Star has presented a new special edition of DC Comics chucks related with the opening of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. Unfortunately, they aren't available in any Converse shops here in Croatia, but hey, there are E-bay and other online stores where you can get them!

I'm completely thrilled with Batman chucks, they're so awesome! What do you think?

...two...

I decided to brighten up a bit chilly Monday evening with my new "ethno peacock" jeans. It was such a long and busy day. I spent the entire morning dealing with bureaucracy related with my graduation thesis. In the afternoon my boyfriend and I took a really, really long bike ride (approximately 50 kilometers). It was truly manic Monday!
In the end I was completely exhausted so I had to bring up some colors in order to feel cheerful and full of energy.

BAG: Accessorize, A/W 2010/11
JEANS: New Yorker (Amisu), S/S 2012
T-SHIRT: New Yorker (Amisu), S/S 2012
SNEAKERS: Converse All Star
NECKLACE: a gift (have no idea where it came from)

There's nothing better than a mug of cold wheat beer after such a crazy day.

This cute teddy bear in one of the shop windows made my day:

That's it for today, now I'm officially dead. Bye! :)

...one...

A couple of years ago I used to have a fashion blog. However, as I still had tons of exams I had to study for, I didn't have enough time to mantain it and post new outfits regularly.

So, let's try again. Take two. For the beginning (and in the lack of new outfit photos which will come as soon as possible, I promise!) I'd like to show you some of my old outfits throughout the last couple of years.

June or July 2009

March 2010

April 2010

May 2010

July 2010, trip to Paris

August or Septemper 2010

November 2010

December 2010

(this is my favorite "accessoire" - Mladen)

February 2011

April 2011

July 2011

August 2011 (with Jadranko, so-called "bag designer" from Zadar, Croatia)

February 2012

March 2012 (Buenos Aires, Argentina)

June 2012

As you can see, there is a mix of various styles in my closet and I pick my clothes depending on my mood. You'll rarely see me wearing high heels because I find them extremely uncomfortable and unpractical. I prefer chucks, flats, flip flops and sandals. Chucks are actually my favorites because they're the most comfortable footwear ever. By now I've collected six or seven pairs of them. Huh.

I apologize for the bad quality of the photos above. The majority of them were taken with my old Sony camera whose photos (especially night snapshots) were awful. Now I have a Canon (IXUS 100) which is a bit better, but still, I'd like to get a proper DSLR camera as soon as possible because photography is one of my hobbies.

So, that's it for the beginning!
